Dear students and parents at Golden Key Piano School,

As the year is coming to a close, we cannot wait to have our annual duet recital coming up. To learn more about this and more, dig in.

1. Duet Recital

We are a few weeks away from our Annual Duet Recital. Please REGISTER NOW if you haven’t already.

Register here for a time that best suits you.

Practicing duet is not only a way to improve musicianship and learn how to play with another person, it is also a good motivating tool for those who need motivation. We recommend you stay in touch with you duet partners and make “piano friends” and “piano play dates” throughout the year.

Date: 4th December 2022

Venue: Hillside Club 2286 Cedar Street, Berkeley, CA 94709

Time: First Group 12:00

Second Group 1:45pm

Please check this link after the rehearsal date to know which group you belong to.

Please arrive 15 min early.

Wearing a mask is required.

Each student can bring 2 guests (that includes parents).

3. Informal Zoom Performance Day

Our informal performance day on Zoom will be on Tuesday December 6th at 3.00pm PST.

We are looking forward to our next informal performance day.

4. WhatsApp Participation

Our WhatsApp group is a great opportunity for more informal performance practices. The group is open to current students of Golden Key Piano School only.

We strongly recommend everyone’s participation in the group by recording and posting your pieces.

The Whatsapp link was sent to you in the welcome email. If you do not have it, please reply to this email and we will send you the link.

5. Referral System

Many thanks for referrals!

We have been registering students who were referred to us by current or former students of Golden Key Piano School. Believe it or not, we have even had referrals from those who are just starting their own lessons at Golden Key Piano School. We are flattered and grateful for the confidence that our students and their families have in our ability to teach.

To return the favor, for each student that is referred, we will:

• Add $50 to our scholarship fund to make our quality lessons available to a wider community.
• Waive the $30 registration fee for your friend as a welcome gift to our school.
• Send you a thank you gift.

6. Calendar Reminder

Please note that the school will be closed from December 26th to December 31st for winter break. For those classes fall on these dates, your lessons balance out as there were 5 weeks in October/November hence you don’t need makeup classes.
