A lyrical, nonlinear, three-act play with absurdist elements, The Portrait of an Angel, a Lion, a Monster comes alive in the hands of director Ali Kamran, making his New York directorial debut with this production at TheaterLab. The play has its Bay Area Premiere at Central Stage in February 2022.
With its strong Jewish backdrop, the play takes the audience through an intimate internal journey that suggests “happy families are NOT all alike.”
