Dear Golden Key Piano School Community,

We would like to congratulat all students who passed their annual exam. Please find the information about when you will receive your certificate in this newsletter along with some other good news.

1. Upcoming Fundraising Recital

Our next recital is the annual fundraising recital for our Elaine’s Scholarship Fund on Thursday May 4th at 6:00pm at the beautiful Kassman Piano Store on Gilman street in Berkeley. This year, we will have students of all our teachers in Berkeley participating at this event. Your teacher will let you know if you were chosen to participate.

The recital is open to the public.

Please mark your calendar, invite your friends, and let us share the quality piano lessons to a greater community with our scholarship fund.

There might be surprise performances by some of our teachers.

2. Teacher Chenyi’s Generous Offer for the Fundraiser

Our very high qualified and sought after teacher, Chenyi Cao DMA, is generously offering her time to raise funds for our scholarship. We cannot thank her enough for coming up with this idea and her suggestion to give a few lessons in benefit of our fundraiser.

While Chenyi is great for students of any level, we would like to encourage our more advanced students to take advantage of this opportunity and have their one (or more) lesson with Chenyi. You can look at it as a private master class to polish up your technique and musicality.

There are only 3 time slots available. The fee is sliding scale $95 to $120. All the payment received from the three lessons goes to our scholarship fund which is currently being used for a very talented young student at our school.

3. Zoom Performance Day

Our informal performance day on Zoom will be on Tuesday March 7th at 3.00pm PST or 6.00pm EST.

We are looking forward to our next informal performance day.

4. Students’ News

Landon

Congratulations to Landon student of Teacher Nicole’s, for successfully passing his RCM level 7 exam with honors.

“He started his RCM exams with me at level 4 in 2020, and I am very proud of his progress and work he has put in.” Says teacher Nicole.

We are very proud of him indeed. We are also grateful to teacher Nicole for being one of the leading teachers in preparing the students for RCM test always with excellent results.
