Dear students and parents at Golden Key Piano School,

We cannot be more excited for you to join us in our busiest month in the school year. Here is what to look forward to in May:

1. Fundraising Recital 2023

Our next recital is the annual fundraising event for Elaine’s Scholarship Fund on Thursday, May 4th at 6:00pm at the beautiful Kassman Piano Store on Gilman street in Berkeley.

The recital is open to the public. Please come to listen and invite friends and family.

Tickets are sliding scale ($25 to $50); all the ticket sales go towards our scholarship fund.

2. Solo Recital Registration

We are looking forward to our Annual Solo Recital on Sunday May 21st at the beautiful Hillside Club at  2286 Cedar St, Berkeley.

One formal rehearsal is required. To register for the recital, you need to sign up on the rehearsal list here.

Please find a suitable time for you and put the student’s name so we can have proper scheduling.

We will only know the exact time of recital after we are done with all the rehearsals. The recital is divided into three groups. Sorry we cannot accommodate a specific time slot/group to you so please keep your Sunday afternoon (May 21st) from noon to 5 open for the recital but note that each recital will be only about an hour.

We would also like to request that you stay for the entire hour during the recital to provide morale for all students and reduce movement out of the hall. No one wants to perform to a half empty hall. Please support the fellow students by staying for the full hour.

We look forward to seeing you on stage.

Recital times will be announced HERE after all the recitals are complete.

3. Summer Package

This summer we have a special package to help the students focus on their piano and improve a lot.

The package includes

1. Two piano lessons per week, (60 minutes each, in person or online)
2. Monthly informal performances
3. Monthly “polish up” short lesson with headteacher.
4. A Recital at the end of the program

Monthly tuition $780

4. Zoom Performance

Please note due to Katrin’s schedule conflict we are changing the Zoom performance date to Thursday May 4^th at 3:00pm PST.

5. Best of Berkeley Award

Over the years, we have continued to grow within ourselves and our students have been our biggest pride.

It is humbling when those within our community recognise the effort we put in.

Therefore, it is with excitement that reveal that we have been chosen for the 2023 Berkeley Business Hall of Fame after taking home the Best of Berkeley Awards for Music Lessons for the sixteenth year in a row.

Join us in celebrating our efforts and we are so proud that you could share this milestone with us.
