Golden Key Piano School’s October 2025 Newsletter

Dear Golden Key Piano School Community,

October has arrived, bringing beautiful fall colors and a vibrant energy to our school! We hope you have settled into a great rhythm with their practice routines. This month is full of exciting opportunities and key updates as follows;

1. Referral System

We are proud of the quality lessons we offer, and that’s why most of our students come from referrals. These referrals not only affirm the excellence of our programs but also help us grow our scholarship fund, making music education accessible to more aspiring pianists.

Many thanks for your referrals!

To show our appreciation, for each student that is referred, we will:

  • Add $50 to our scholarship fund to make our quality lessons available to a wider community.
  • Waive the $45 registration fee for your friend as a welcome gift to our school.
  • Send you a thank-you gift.

We appreciate your referrals to your friends. Invite your friends and family for a free 20-minute consultation with Headteacher Katrin here.

2. Performance Day

We welcome you to our performance day every first Wednesday of the month at 7.00pm at Golden Key Piano School.

We also have a teen performance day every first Wednesday of the month at 7:20pm at Golden Key Piano School. The performance day participation is free so all are welcome and encouraged to attend. Let’s build a community for our students to connect with their peers.

3. Teacher News

Welcome to Teacher Hyunkyung

We are thrilled to have Hyunkyung as part of our amazing teachers at Golden Key Piano School starting fall of 2025.

Dr. Hyunkyung Woo is a dedicated piano educator and accomplished performer with extensive teaching and performance experience in both the United States and South Korea. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from The University of Texas at Austin under the mentorship of Professor Anton Nel, following her Bachelor of Music degree from Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul.

Dr. Woo has given numerous solo and chamber recitals internationally and was awarded second prize in the Sydney Wright Competition in Piano Accompaniment. As a teacher, she has guided students of all ages and levels, helping many achieve success in competitions and gain admission to prestigious music programs. Known for her supportive and disciplined approach, she inspires students to grow not only as pianists but also as confident musicians.

We are delighted to have Hyunkyung on our team of talented and dedicated teachers starting fall of 2025.
