Golden Key Piano School’s September 2025 Newsletter

Dear Golden Key Piano School Community,

We hope you enjoyed your summer and we are excited for the new school year. Here is what you can look forward to as we kick it off!

1. Calendar Reminder

Please find our 2025-26 school calendar of events on our website soon. Please mark your calendar for rehearsal dates and recitals.

Our regular performance is happening every first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm.

2. Referral System

We are proud of the quality lessons we offer, and that’s why most of our students come from referrals. These referrals not only affirm the excellence of our programs but also help us grow our scholarship fund, making music education accessible to more aspiring pianists.

Many thanks for your referrals!

To show our appreciation, for each student that is referred, we will:

• Add $50 to our scholarship fund to make our quality lessons available to a wider community.
• Waive the $45 registration fee for your friend as a welcome gift to our school.
• Send you a thank-you gift.

3. Teens Performance Day

In addition to our regular performance day, we are introducing a teen performance day every first Wednesday of the month at 7:20pm at Golden Key Piano School. The performance day participation is free, so all teenagers are welcome and encouraged to attend. Let’s build a community for our teenagers to connect with their peers.

4. Find Your Duet Partner

As we are approaching duet season, kindly remember to start, with the help of your teacher, finding a duet partner. We organize these recitals to help all our students grow in confidence and playing in pairs helps with motivation and improves their ensembling skills.

Finding a duet partner early allows for more practice time and readiness for the duet recital in December. Please exchange contact information with the parents and be in touch to organize duet practice times.

5. Kassman Piano Store Retirement Sale

One of our beloved partners over the years, R. Kassman Piano Store will be retiring in the coming weeks.

If you have been thinking of upgrading your instruments this would be a great opportunity to do that. They are closing down by October so you can go over and make a selection from their fine pianos in September.

Right now they have new pianos that are regularly priced over $6,000 that are on sale for $4,900 as well as new grand pianos for less than $10,000. They also have used uprights starting at $599 and U1s for $3490. Used grands starting at $2,990.
